What's your Body Mass Index (BMI)?

Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women.

In order to keep a healthy life, we should have a BMI on the normal weight range. The range of BMI categories is listed below:

BMI Categories:

  • Underweight = <18.5
  • Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
  • Overweight = 25-29.9
  • Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
Now, to make things easier, here's a link to a table to calculate your BMI in a glance. Just follow the instruction and you will get your BMI reading right away.

It is imperative to remember that even if you are on the normal weight range of the BMI, you should give yourself an inspection on how you look in the mirror. If you think your fat is still bulging, then you have to lose a little bit of weight. I myself is in the normal weight range but I still think that I have to lose more weight. I used to be skinny (underweight range) before I gave birth to my first child. Eventhough most of my friends say that I don't look fat, I now weigh 15kilos more than I used to be. Therefore, it is my ultimate goal to lose at least 10kilos to stay healthy and beautiful....more importantly beautiful!
